2018 Retrospective

2018 was a weird year. There have been a lot of those lately, but 2018 was very strange for me personally. I started the year with plans to work on my car, get some nitrous installed, and continue renting my 2 car 3 bedroom house.

Well, I didn’t get any nitrous installed, I didn’t get nearly as much work done on the car as I wanted, and I’m no longer renting. My fiance and I bought a 3 car, 3 bath, 4 bedroom house here in Texas. In the meantime I ended up acquiring not one but 2 different superchargers for my car, selling one of them, and trading my srt-4 away in the process.

I spent a lot of time with family and friends, and not as much time as I would like racing. I did however spend a lot of time building up my garage. now have a dedicated work/storage area for all of my car parts (they’re no longer stashed under my bed!), I scored a spare 6.1 (that also needs to be moved to the storage area), and I got a full kit from dipyourcar.com to dip the heathen in a nice flat black.

What have I actually done to the car this year though? Not nearly enough. I got a diffuser installed, shed a little more weight, and got some suspension work done up front.

For 2019 we’ve got some good things planned. I intend to get my vortech supercharger installed, my car dipped matte black, hopefully some great times at the track and also some great track times.
