2019, year in review

Briefly put:
I moved into a new house
I got married
I got a dodge magnum r/t
I got disappointed with the scene

Not necessarily in that order. If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been well, I was attending a fun event in august or so, and overheard some blatantly racist and homophobic remarks made in front of the people in charge of said event. Not only did the leaders of this group not stop it in the act, they encouraged the conversation along with some nice jokes about domestic violence. After bringing it up to the ‘top dog’ if you will, the response was, shall we say, tepid.

It’s been months now, and I’ve heard nothing further on it, no apologies, public statements, or evidence of discipline. Why the hell it’s 2020 and people still think gay-bashing or racism is an acceptable thing is beyond me. The car community (at least the muscle car community, the part that I am most familiar with) seems to have a problem with this, and they really need to fucking fix it.

Rant over.

I got a magnum r/t! It’s meant for daily driving but is currently not doing so for some non-mechanical reasons. Overall it seems pretty damn great, and I love driving around a station wagon that can outrun most other folks “sports” cars.

I got married! Yay I’m married now. Brought in the family, it was a whole thing.

Here’s hoping 2020 goes as well as the first half of 2019.
